Google has released an update to its privacy policy to warn users that Google may be sharing personal information about them with third parties for the purpose of performing analytics and analyzing the traffic of users.

Google says that it uses “a number of third parties to provide information about our users and to help us deliver better services and products”.

In a nutshell, Google is sharing information from the sites that users visit and Google’s analytics to track which search terms are most popular and the number of times people use those search terms.

If you are a Google user, you can also opt out of the sharing by changing your privacy settings on Google’s website.

Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. and is headquartered in Mountain View, California.
